APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
If you are interested in Non Appropriated Fund (NAF) employment, you may apply for positions listed below. In order to apply, you must submit Form OF 612 (Optional Application for Federal Employment) and Optional Form 306 (Declaration for Federal Employment), as well as the Continuation and Availability forms. Upon submission, you must provide evidence of eligibility for employment in the United States.

If you have prior military service, please attach Member Copy-4 of your DD 214.

Applications will remain on file for 90 days, after which time they will be destroyed unless you contact us prior to the date to extend your application.

One application is necessary for each job.

NAF VACANCIES

POSITION: Child Development Program Assistant CC-1702-01
LOCATION: CDC    
CATEGORY: Flexible WAGES: $10.39
DUTIES:  Helps to arrange room, create and arrange play materials and games, develop list of needed supplies and equipment. Receives children from parents noting special instructions. Conducts appropriate play and learning activities to foster individual and group activity development. Leads children in songs, games and other activities. Attends to physical needs of the children, including rocking and holding babies and assisting children during family style meals. Helps children collect their belongings when they depart and ensures that each child leaves with his/her parents or other authorized persons.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be at least 18 years of age, have high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to speak, read and write English. Must pass a physical examination and have or get required immunizations. Must be able to complete state and national criminal background checks. Must satisfactorily complete mandatory training as specified. Must possess maturity and good judgment and enjoy working with small children and their parents.

POSITION: Custodial Worker (Housekeeping) NA-3566-01

DUTIES:  General cleaning of lodging rooms, storerooms, restrooms, stairways and other areas, including furniture, windows, etc. Empties ashtrays and wastebaskets. Makes beds and changes linen. Maintains stock of cleaning materials and equipment needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions. Light physical work and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds.

DUTIES:  Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing. Prepares convenience items such as frozen foods. Prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging pt breading; weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular menu items, sets up and replenishes salad bar. Washes and cleans kitchen equipment, performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food activity. Must be able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.

POSITION: Cook NA-7404-06
LOCATION: Club Fairchild    
CATEGORY: Flexible WAGES: $11.06
DUTIES:  Performs duties which include but are not limited to the following: roasts, broils, bakes, fries, boils, steams and stew meats. Prepares soups, broths, gravies, sauces and puddings without the use of packaged mixes. Adjusts standardized recipes for number of servings, prepares cold food platters. Prepares entire meals which require coordinating the cooking of several items with different cooking times. Must have knowledge of procedures to order, issue and store food. Must also be able to perform yield testing to determine portion cost and to adjust ingredients in standardized recipes.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity. Must be able to frequently lift objects weighing up to and occasionally over 40 pounds. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate

POSITION: Lodging Clerk NF-0303-01
LOCATION: Lodging    
CATEGORY: Flexible WAGES: $8.07
DUTIES:  Receives and confirms room reservations. Registers and assigns rooms to guests, issues room keys, and may escort guests to rooms. Accepts payments, makes change, and issues checkout statements. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have experience in general clerical work of any kind. Must meet state and legal requirement for sale of alcoholic beverages. Position is a position of trust and subject to satisfactory completion of a national background check.

POSITION: Waiter NA-7420-01
LOCATION: Club Fairchild    
CATEGORY: Flexible WAGES: $8.08
DUTIES:  Readies groups of tables for food and beverages. Cleans and prepares tables for further use. May perform incidental dishwashing and other tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be physically able to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler’s training.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, including knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures, frequently lift objects weighing 5-15 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. Must meet the minimum age requirement for working with and serving alcohol and be able to obtain a Food Handler’s certificate.

DUTIES:  Sells a variety of items such as short order items, snacks, and candy. Operates a cash register, rings up the sale, receives money and makes change. Maintains area in a clean and orderly condition. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Mush have experience in clerical, office, or retail sales work of any kind. Experience in the operation of a cash register is desirable.

POSITION: Recreation Assistant NF-0189-02

DUTIES:  Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of recreation facilities. Provides customer service assisting customers with orders, purchases and payments. Works with cash register and completes daily paperwork. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicant must have experience which provides a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs, and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities equipment, rules and procedures which involved recreation work in the area of specialty to which the position is assigned.
